Leman 4 Life

Leman 4 Life is an annual 5km fun run event for all staff and students to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Our ‘Leman For Life’ fun run will take place this year on the school site on the afternoon of Wednesday 30 June and is organised in conjunction with Beccles Friends of Cancer Research UK and Bungay Black Dog Runners. Everybody in the school takes part one way or another!! For some the emphasis is on the ‘run’ - Bungay Black Dog Running Club time the first 200 finishers! For others, it is the ‘fun’ - students can take part in fancy dress or trail a blaze in a flurry of pink.  All students are able to come in sportswear for the day, whether they run, jog or stroll around the course!! Students are encouraged to pin on a memory sheet with names of those for whom they are running and place these on a memory wall at the end of the course. It will mean that Ringsfield Road will be effectively closed and there will be no access to the Venue car park between 2.00pm and 3.15pm, so parents and carers who pick up students, please note!

The first Leman For Life was held in 2011 and the total raised to date amounts to £77,064, tantalisingly close to £80,000! To smash through that target, we are asking students to aim to get at least £10 in sponsorship or donations.
