PSHEE
Personal, social, health and economic education (PSHEE) brings together personal, social and health education, work-related learning, careers, enterprise, and financial capability. At Sir John Leman, students follow a curriculum based on the PSHE Association’s Programme of Study (Key Stages 3 and 4) both of which are in line with current DFE advice and guidance.
This programme of study covers three core themes:
- Health and Wellbeing
- Relationships
- Living in the wider world: economic wellbeing, careers and the world of work
The curriculum aims to “support pupils’ spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development and prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life”. Students will develop Intrapersonal skills required for self management, interpersonal skills required for positive relationships in a wide variety of settings and skills of enquiry.
Our PSHEE curriculum is delivered at KS3 and KS4 via Enrichment Days and Tutor Time activities.
