Choosing Courses

When you are choosing the subjects which will make up your Sixth Form programme of study, it is important that you choose subjects that interest you and which you enjoy. You should consider subjects which you are good at and which relate to your future aspirations. If you already have a particular university course or career in mind, you should select subjects which will support these ambitions; useful advice and guidance on this is available via the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service website (www.ucas.com).

We have a range of courses on offer which you may have never studied before and it is important to research these carefully before you make your final choices; the information provided in the course pages of this prospectus will help you. Remember, it is not always necessary to have studied a subject in Year 11 in order to study the subject in Sixth Form. Our Sixth Form Open Evening (Thursday 8th November, 2018) will allow you the opportunity to view our facilities and speak with our teaching staff and the Sixth Form team about the courses and opportunities we offer. Our guidance meetings held in the Spring Term with all Sixth Form applicants will enable you to discuss your chosen courses with an experienced member of the Sixth Form team and help you decide which subjects would be most suitable for you to study.
